CBD confusion? your not alone.

It seems the wheels are starting to come off the CBD wagon, that’s good and bad for many reasons, but the main reason is CBD confusion, and you are not alone.

The good is more people are doing deeper research and gaining a better understanding of their reasons and methods for using CBD.

Not all people need to use CBD and the flood of products and public hype makes it hard to not consider, it’s been hyped as a “cure-all’, but mostly taking it you feel no different, there’s not a ‘high’ with CBD, like caffeine, nicotine or alcohol. So taking it seems harmless and a pass to be in with the in the crowd.

Therein lies a problem, if you take any prescription, supplement or any mood or mind-altering substance the use of CBD is skewed as CBD work with many receptors in your body opening, closing and feathering your natural flow and balance. This can affect your prescription and alter the effectiveness of your supplements.

For many, especially those with seizures CBD can be life-changing, but these cases have been well documented and under a doctors’ supervision.

Let’s get things straight if you’re on prescriptions talk with your doctor before using CBD.

Next is the use of VAPES, a popular and quickest way to ingest CBD. Vaping was made popular, as  a smokeless way to inhale mostly THC, then nicotine, then just about anything, The process is simple a battery heats up a small heating element to a set temperature just a few degrees shy of combustion, the oils (THC, CBD, terpenes, nicotine, caffeine ) vaporize to a fine mist (vapor) which  inhaled without the carcinogenic of combustion or smoke.

Promoted a more healthy way to smoke. Let’s GET REAL HERE if you have seen the amount of vapor one exhales, either in person or on t.v and think it’s harmless (don’t drink the cool-aid!!!).

As I write this, the industry is pulling just about all vape cartridges , do to reported DEATH and lung disease occurring across the U, S. The cause is with the contents of the liquid being vaped, thinners and additives and who knows what is used to fill these cartridges, black market labs, and home enthusiasts are making their own concoctions and flooding the market with untested products.

It’s very important now more than ever to understand the  built-in safeguards in the CBD market

  • All reputable companies will have a lab testing link labeled on each product, some states have made this a law, this means you can go online and see the exact labs testing results of the product you have in your hand.
  • Most, if not all companies have an interactive web site with online chat, they offer assistant and answer questions on products, this is an often overlooked service, don’t hesitate to use it.

With CBD being used in so many products its time to ask what is the best application for your specific needs?

Obviously, topicals, cosmetics, and external applications need less scrutiny, oils, tinctures, isolates, gummies, and anything taken internally should be lab tested with TOTAL transparency.

CBD and Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system, it affects approximately 2.3 million people worldwide. CBD and multiple sclerosis is a topic that leads in many directions.

The symptoms of MS are highly varied but frequently include pain, muscle fatigue – elasticity, inflammation, and depression. These symptoms often lead to reduced physical activity and negatively impact mobility and have a detrimental impact on patients quality of life. It is more common in women than in men.

Although recent years have seen significant advances in disease therapy, none of the current treatments halts or cures MS-related symptoms.
In conversations about M.S, you will often hear the word ‘Spasticity’ this is a condition where certain muscles are continuously contracted. This contraction causes stiffness or tightness of the muscles, it can interfere with normal movement, speech, and gait. Spasticity is usually caused by damage to the portion of the brain or spinal cord that controls voluntary movement.

Cannabidiol (CBD), the main non-psychoactive component of cannabis, is known to exhibit both anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects against known and suspected autoimmune diseases, Given what little is known about the MS, it was theorized that medicinal CBD could also be of benefit to MS patients.

Drugs such as Sativex, a cannabis oil consisting mainly of CBD and Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), can now be prescribed to MS patients living in countries and states with medicinal cannabis programs who feel that their symptoms are not being relieved by traditional pharmaceuticals.

There is also evidence that CBD may reduce the negative psychotropic effects, memory impairment, and appetite stimulation, anxiety and psychotic-like states of THC while enhancing its positive therapeutic actions.

As researchers gain more access to CBD studies, many positive traits are coming to light, many suffering from M.S are getting better sleep which helps with fatigue and it has a strong role in pain relief and muscle spasms.

Many M.S suffers are coming to the table with their experience with CBD, the response is overwhelmingly positive, improved daily living and hopes for the future. Each case is different but through my research, it is apparent lots of folk with M.S are sharing their experience with CBD and are reaching out to the community with their results and application methods.

And as always, when you are considering using CBD to treat a medical condition, it’s important to do so under your doctor’s supervision. This is especially important if you are taking other medications because CBD has the potential to interact with some common pharmaceuticals.

CBD (warning) Heads up!

With the booming onslaught of CBD products and competition in the market, it was only a matter of time before this fairly unregulated market hit a wall.

At this point its time to offer a CBD ‘heads up’, as I mentioned in previous posts about, SHADY products and companies its time to take a closer look at what you get when you purchase CBD.

It’s estimated that half the hemp oil tested by the Center for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC) in the u.k comes up short of the listed ingredients. In the 84 different products tested, from 25 different companies most had more CBD than labeled, 26% had less than indicated, and just 31 % were accurately labeled.

These numbers mean 70% of the products were labeled inaccurately. 18 of the 84 products tested with THC, had a variance of up to 6 mg. Vape liquids were the most inaccurate.

The concern for accurately measure products has raised concern here in the U.S by the FDA (Food and drug administration) and although not regulated the FDA tested and sent out warning letters to some CBD companies who made unsubstantiated claims about their products being effective or were mislabeled.

Some states have put laws into place to mandate accurate testing and labeling. This calls for mandatory third-party testing and COA (Certificate of Analysis). This gives consumers instant access to accurate information on products before they purchase them including potency and tests for harmful chemicals such as pesticides.

In early February 2019, Local Miami NBC investigation published a story in which they tested 35 different products from 6 brands purchased online and in stores. They found that 20 of these products had less than half the amount of CBD on the label, some having none at all. They reported gummies to be the most inaccurate product.

In Los Angeles fox 11 did a similar study. They sent 13 CBD products purchased in stores to a third-party lab for analysis. They found that only one of these products had an accurate label. Two more products were close to being accurate, one had more CBD than labeled, four had significantly less CBD than labeled and five of the products had no CBD detected at all. They also found potentially harmful levels of ethanol in a few of the products.

If you are in the business of CBD it makes sense to put all your cards on the table, with competition as stiff as it is the best will quickly rise to the top. If you are spending your hard-earned money on CBD take notes to become an expert in YOUR needs and take keep these simple steps on top of your list

1- Third-party testing (mandatory)

2- know your extraction methods, CO2 or better

3- COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the product you have in hand

Here at blueplanetcbd.com we only represent companies that pass our strict guidelines, if you have questions or concerns feel free to contact us.

Fibromyalgia and CBD updated beakthrough.

Do you have or know anyone with Fibromyalgia? if so, a recent study is just coming to light. The researchers at Tikun Olam(Hebrew for “repair the world”) have just made a breakthrough and the future looks bright. Fibromyalgia and CBD…

Fibromyalgia (FMS) is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, its usually accompanied by fatigue, sleep, mood and memory issues. Fibromyalgia can affect people of all ages, including children.

Researchers believe Fibromyalgia amplifies pain sensations affecting the way your brain processes pain.

With more than 3 million cases a year in the U. S it has become very common and the cause is unknown.but it can be effectively treated and managed.

There are no laboratory tests for the condition, and this can lead to a delayed or missed diagnosis.

Symptoms are Pain and tender points, fatigue, sleep problems, concentration and memory problems, known as “fibro fog”, Anxiety or depression, Morning stiffness. Numbness, and tingling in hands, arms, feet, and legs.and headaches.

Groundbreaking Research Study

Confirms Cannabis Effectively Treats Fibromyalgia and Decreases Pharmaceutical & Opioid Use.

Yes, folks, it’s true the researchers at the ISREAL firm Tikun Olam have published a 6-month study comprised 367 fibromyalgia patients, this is the largest of its kind.

The study was conducted at the Tikun Olam cannabis clinic, the patients were treated with Tikun science-backed varietals, including high-CBD brand Avidekel and high-THC Alaska after 6 months of medical cannabis therapy:

81.1% reported overall treatment success;

73.4% reported improved sleep;

80.8% reported improved depression‐related symptoms;

61.9% reported improved “quality of life” components including appetite and sexual activity.

In general, 80% of people suffering from fibromyalgia are women and the testing reflected these numbers.

The most impressive statistics for me was the fact that most patients ceased, reduced or did not change of prescribed drugs while receiving medical cannabis and 22+% stopped or reduced their dosage of opioids which included Morphine, Fentanyl, Oxycodone, and Percocet.

Tikun Olam has developed multiple proprietary strains, including the first-ever, high-CBD, “high-less” strain Avidekel™. Tikun Olam’s U.S. operations, established in 2015 and also operates similar partnerships in Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, and Greece.

As worldwide research is being openly shared and firms like Tikum Olam are developing strains with a purpose, new doors are starting to open with hemp/cannabis.

Hopefully in time the stigma and bad press associated with these ‘gifts from nature’ will surface and our scientists will be given a green light to advance their research and expand the abilities of these wonderful compounds.

If you or someone you know is suffering from Fibromyalgia talk to your doctor and see if CBD could be part of your treatment, the medical world moves at a fast pace keeping up can be a challenge, good luck, and good health.

WORLDWIDE opinions of CBD

As CBD(Cannabidiol )sweeps the market with an endless supply of various products and uses, people all over the world are taking notice.

It’s just about everywhere and being infused into just about anything,

If you are new to or considering CBD as a supplement or medicine it can get overwhelming confusing and easily put on the back burner.

I am writing from the USA where CBD has a semi-twisted relationship with the government and FDA (food and drug administration) they call the shots and make the rules on all things consumed here.

As I researched worldwide opinions of CBD I found it quite interesting and a bit baffling.

NORTH AMERICA

USA

Here in the USA CBD runs a gambit of rules and regulations.

It’s legal in all 50 states with a THC content of .3%, most often extracted from hemp and used as a supplement.

It’s making huge progress in the medical field and the door has been cracked but not yet opened, with hemp finally being legal to grow, as Congress passed the Hemp Farming Act of 2018.

Then the government made their own pharmaceutical version(“EPIDIOLEX”) and claimed CBD had medical benefits. This was a huge step forward…kind of.

One of the main twists in the system is each state has its own laws on cannabis/ CBD, some states have legalized cannabis/CBD for anyone 21 and over.

Some states have medical marijuana programs where you can get a card from a doctor to purchase cannabis/CBD at local dispensaries.

Some states have 0 tolerance and the slightest amount can land you in jail, even with the allowed .3% THC, some stick with the THC is THC (still illegal by the federal government)and can make huge problems for stores carrying CBD products.

In the USA things are pretty lax but you still need to be aware of the local laws, and take note if you are traveling, in general, CBD in the USA is fairly positive with a bright future.<<<<buy now>>>.

Canada

it seems the door is wide open with CBD/THC in Canada, although they have been framing hemp for years it wasn’t until recently with the cannabis act hemp and cannabis were rolled into one nice tidy package.

With the right permits, the hemp industry is allowed to extract or sell to production companies to manufacture CBD, going one step farther their attitude is CBD, hemp-cannabis-or lab made makes no difference.

Major players like TILRAY have made huge plays in the market and with a large company base are posed to go big with Amazon, Costco, Walmart or online, so the future of CBD in Canada seems wide open.

Thanks, Canada.

MEXICO

CBD was recently legalized in Mexico.

The large imports have been a fair concern, but with the passing Of medical cannabis laws anyone with a doctor prescription can legally use cannabis and CBD, the future looks good for Mexico.

Asia

Once again we see a CBD tight rope, but the wave of change and the obvious onslaught of hemp production, a major shift is no doubt coming.

China is a major producer of hemp with approximately 1/2 the world’s production.

Although CBD seems like a happy coincidence and an easy play.

China’s drug policy is still very strict and cannabis is illegal whether they acknowledge the WHO(world health organization) removal of CBD from their list of drugs is up to them.

China never seems to leave cards on the table and I have already been solicited to purchase bulk CBD (lab quality) online, time seems to be on the CBD side we will have to wait and see, money talks.

Japan

With the heaviest drug laws anywhere, Japan is not a place to caught growing or possessing cannabis, but a recent loophole somehow has made it through the cracks.

Seems the laws apply to leaves and flowers, the stems are fair game, so the CBD is being extracted from stems and as of now its legal to import and consume CBD.

Keep a close eye on upcoming laws as it seems they are changing quite rapidly.

INDONESIA

Although the information is hard to get its plan and simple.

Cannabis and CBD are illegal both medical and recreational, be careful traveling with CBD in Indonesia, even if its 0% THC.

Recently a surfer from the U. K was arrested for having a bottle of CBD sent to him for his chronic pain, he’s looking at 15 years in one of the toughest prisons in the world.

SOUTH KOREA

As of March 12, 2019, laws legalizing medical cannabis have been established in South Korea.

The industry is on the verge of a major breakthrough but their taking things slow and easy. They are carefully opening the door knowing a flood will rise quickly in the area.

Singapore who has a Strong stance on drugs recently allowed imports of pharmaceutical products containing cannabinoids. As far as CBD in South Korea things look good and investors are keeping a close eye on the flood gates.

INDIA

CBD is legal and easy to find all over India, mail order or shop local. Cannabis has been used in India since 2000 b.c. All parts of the plant are used seeds -flowers and resin.

India boasts the lowest price of cannabis in the world, Cultivation of cannabis for industrial purposes and for horticultural use is legal in India. Looks like India is on board, just check the rules for international travel before you go.

PHILLIPPINES

With the strong anti-drug policy in the  Philippines, it seems like something you would need ongoing research to validate bringing it into their country.

As of this article, it is illegal and looks like it will stay that way for a while.             A big step forward is that they have just overwhelming approved the Philippines Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act, looking to address the need in the medical field.

By no means are they trying to legalize cannabis or trying to decriminalize marijuana, the best advice is to check-check then check again when comes to taking any drugs to the Philippines.

CHINA

Currently, cannabis usage is illegal in China, but CBD from hemp or otherwise is legal.

Hemp is one of the main crops in China they mainly produce crops for textiles, rope, paper, and fabric,

Hemp has been a long-standing staple in China, with the new-found worldwide interest in CBD China is poised to become a superpower in the CBD field. For more information on China and their investments check out this link http://chineseinvestors.com,lots of information and a good read. As always keep an eye on the market and interests in China with approximately 1.4 billion people there’s a lot going on.

PAKISTAN

Although the laws and public opinion seem to have a blurred vision, cannabis is illegal in Pakistan, that being said CBD derived from cannabis is also illegal. CBD from hemp is legal to possess purchase and sell, various regions have different laws some places where it is illegal you can buy it openly in the local markets, some regions consider it religious, but it seems the enforcement is lax.

The District of Columbia voters approved CBD oil in Pakistan, initiative 71 allows anyone over 21 to grow small amounts of cannabis,(but not sell), each state, country, and city have various laws, so it would be best to do you are research on the places you go and where you plan on staying.

The enforcement seems lax in some places, but depending on the situation you could get into trouble in other areas.

RUSSIA

Cannabis and all cannabis-related activities, including possession, sale, and production, are considered illegal in Russia.

This applies to both medical and recreational cannabis.  things get cloudy here as the possession of up to two grams of hashish or up to 6 grams of cannabis is decriminalized, getting you a fine depending on where and who arrests you, looks like a change is in the wind, slowly and cautiously.

ISREAL

Cannabis in Israel is illegal but allowed for some specified medical usages. On July 19, 2018, The Israeli Knesset finally approved the bill for decriminalization.

Isreal is the leading researchers of cannabis / CBD  and change is eminent keep an eye on Israel as they are leading the way for CBD and treatment with cannabis-based products.

AFRICA

With such are large land mass and so many cultures it’s hard to believe cannabis/CBD is illegal in all but South Africa, although it has  been in use for centuries in religious ceremonies the laws are firm but mainly unenforced, the key word here is illegal, but the times are changing and the rules should follow.

South Africa

CBD derived from dagga now legal. South Africa has just officially changed its rules on cannabidiol or CBD – a compound derived from cannabis which is known for having medicinal properties.

Egypt

Although still illegal it has been labeled as unenforced, never the less an American Facing Death Penalty in Egypt for Hemp Oil., was free by protesters in Cairo, let just stick with ILLEGAL until they get things sorted.

MORROCO

Same as Egypt, illegal but unenforced the key word here is illegal.

AUSTRALIA

Cannabis oil is legal in Australia but under special access.

Anything with CBD in it is considered a ‘scheduled product’. You need to go to your doctor, and they have to have special approval from the department of health to prescribe this particular type of prescription.

Things are starting to loosen up a little in Australia, getting a start with hemp production and a medical program, to access cannabis/ CBD  you need a doctors prescription.

You can buy hemp oil as a supplement or hemp-derived CBD oil that is 100% legal.  Cannabis has and most likely will stay illegal, don’t try to import, travel with or possess high THC oil to Australia.

EUROPE

CBD is legal in Europe, in fact in 2019 the European Parliament recognized cannabis as a medicine and encouraged the study and research for future medical practices.

The only exception is Slovakia. That being said many states have various rules on THC content so check where you are going or just buy locally.

 LATIN AMERICA

With an ideal climate for hemp and a need for a worldwide market, Latin America has positioned itself as a leader in the cannabis/hemp market.

ARGENTINA, BRAZIL, CHILE, COLOMBIA, MEXICO, PANAMA, PARAGUAY, PERU AND URUGUAY all have come on board with medical programs and serious research, not to mention the vast amount of land to farm and develop hemp-based products of all sources.

Keep an eye on this market as export and production in this region is rapidly evolving and set to pose a new economy in this area of the world.

ANTARTICA

Since I have given a brief tour of the world, continent to continent, I was compelled to check out the rules and laws of Antarctica, just in case your planning a visit or a scientist headed to this fairly lawless place.

Antartica is an independent continent that has no government, it has no laws for cannabis, but for some reason, if you get in trouble for something you will be held to the laws of your home country or the vessels place of origin that you arrived with.

For sure it is a bring your own CBD and everything else place, with the many styles of CBD-vape pens, water soluble, oils, etc things seem fair in the Antarctic.

With the ability to remove the THC and the declassification of CBD by the WHO (world health organization) even the most staunch opposers are being forced to take a closer look, whether lab made, hemp or cannabis.

CBD seems to be here to stay and with a bright future at that.

In conclusion, the worldwide market and opinion of CBD are starting to relax, the research and development are strong, and the recognition of the medical benefits are overwhelming.

Also, the simple fact of hemp’s multifaceted uses. Globally it has been in use for centuries as the fast-growing plant with an unlimited variety of uses, it seems CBD is just a happy coincidence and one more feather in its cap.

CBD and CANCER its time for a closes look

Although it is a very touchy subject and unbelievably scientific it’s a topic that needs full attention and at least, some clarity. The research on the effects of CBD AND CANCER cells has been a leading project for some worlds top laboratories for years now, and the evidence is overwhelmingly positive,

In this post I will be going over the process and evidence of how CBD /THC works and how it kills cancer cells, unfortunately there is no way to break it down without sounding like a medical journal, its very interesting but highly technical, the researchers are getting a handle on the process and starting to share their information, which is a good thing moving forward.

The first thing we need to understand is how our body works, how we process and regulate our intake, and how we naturally control a healthy balance within our system. In 1992 working at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Raphael Mechoulam working with William Devane and Dr. Lumir Hanus. Came a crossed a series of receptors located throughout our body, in fact, all living things have been found to have an ECS -endocannabinoid system.

This system is in charge of self-regulating our daily health and well-being, it is the most widespread system in our body, research is fairly new but recent breakthroughs and law changes have led to a huge surge in worldwide research and interest, almost to the point of a new field of medicine.

What is cancer?

Cancer is a name given to a large group of diseases caused by abnormal cell growth. Normal cells are continually growing to divide and die. When cells begin to grow out of control and not die they can invade other tissue, most often forming a tumor. Cancer cells can travel to other places in the body this process is called metastasis, traveling through the bloodstream of lymph vessels.
Cancer is considered a genetic disease, caused by changes to our genes and the way our cells function, some of these changes can be inherited, some just come with life and lifestyle. There are 100s of kinds of cancer usually named for the place or organ where they are formed.

Cancer cells,

Here is where things get complex, (biochemistry) let’s have a look, all cells have a group of sphingolipids (Sphingolipids are a class of lipids containing a backbone of sphingoid bases, a set of aliphatic amino alcohols that includes sphingosine. They were discovered in brain extracts in the 1870s and were named after the mythological sphinx because of their enigmatic nature.) these manage the life and death of the cell.

Controlling the life and death of the cell is called Sphingolipid Rheostat. If internal ceramide (a signaling metabolite of sphingosine-1-phosphate) is high, then cell death is imminent, If ceramide is low, the cell is strong and healthy, if THC connects to the cannabinoid receptor on a cancer cell, it increases ceramide synthesis causing the death of that cell.

A normal healthy cell does not produce ceramide when THC is present so it is not affected by the cannabinoid.

The cancer cell dies because of a little shift in mitochondria. (Mitochondria are structures within cells that convert the energy from food into a form that cells can use. Each cell contains hundreds to thousands of mitochondria, which are located in the fluid that surrounds the nucleus (the cytoplasm). When ceramide starts to build up so does the sphingolipid rheostat breaking down the cell’s permeability to cytochrome C( a protein used for energy) The cytochrome c is pushed out of the mitochondria, killing the source of energy for the cell.

Ceramide also places stress on a cancer cells nucleus generating a protein called p53, its job is to alter the calcium in the mitochondria, and it disrupts the cells digestive system, interfering with nutrient uptake starving the cell, leaving no way the cancer cell will survive.

This process works most efficiently by accumulating ceramide in the system, taking therapeutic amounts of CBD and THC, steadily, over a period, keeps the pressure on this cancer cell death.

We know that CBD/THC are interchangeable in our bodies, when called upon from stress or illness, and we need more than we can produce, our bodies activate and mimic exo-cannabinoids, if the stress is short term the treatment can be as well, but if the stress is sustained (like cancer) the treatment must also be sustained keeping pressure on the ailment until you get back to a place of even health or homeostatic.

CBD usually gravitates toward the CB2 reactor in the spleen, the base of our bodies immune system, from where they seek out and kill cancer cells.

THC and CBD cannabinoids have the ability to kill cancer cells directly, they can hijack various pathways that inhibit tumor growth.

Certain countries are far more advanced in the use of CBD/THC, here in the USA the door is cracked but far from open, if you are interested in the most advanced progress in this field I would recommend researching- Israel, Netherlands, UruguayCzech Republic, Canada or Spain. These countries are by far the most cutting edge in regards to research and development, to the point that we (USA) send our best to do research in their facilities.

Most states in the US that have a medical cannabis program allow cancer treatment with cannabis-based options the list so far looks like this

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Main, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia. With Washington D, C, and Maryland allowing limited use.

Medical research is a rapidly evolving science, cancer is on the top of the list, although we know a great deal about it, we’re still in our infancy on understanding and treating it.

Chemotherapy is the most common treatment depending on the stage and severity, just the sound of that word brings fear, but that doesn’t need to be the case, it works and has a successful track record.

Moving forward to new technics and various combinations of modern medicine we are finding a  place for CBD/TCH, as a viable source for a cure and or a supplement for cancer and treatment, CBD is being used to help ease the side effects of Chemotherapy and help to maintain pressure on cancer cells.

CBD and cancer is a topic that seemly could fill the internet, new information is coming forth hourly and research is worldwide from video to testimonials to daily breakthroughs. If you have or know someone who has a form of cancer, talk to your doctor, do some research,  keep an open mind. In this day and age, the treatment options and success rates are very positive, keep your head up and stay positive.

If you are in a country where CBD is prevalent and have experience pro or con, please help us out and leave a comment with your experience.

I hope this post helped you understand a very basic breakdown of CBD and cancer cells, I  understand it barely is scratch on the surface of the topic, but never the less its a start.

HEALTH benefits of CBD for dogs

As the world becomes more informed with CBD and their non-addicting benefits, the market is expanding in multiple directions, one of the most interesting is the effect and response of CBD in animals of all kinds, today I will focus on the HEALTH BENEFITS OF CBD FOR DOGS.

Dogs like people have an E.C.S. (endocannabinoid system) they have the cb1 and cb2 receptors that balance out and control their well-beingCBD works hand in hand opening, closing and shading how these receptors work and are continuously adjusting the flow of our system.

CBD can be purchased with 0% THC, this is important to know as the stereotype of cannabis and THC will take a while to overcome. You don’t have to worry about your pet being “stoned” or lethargic, some products offer a full spectrum option, other use a CBD isolate, read the contents and if you have any concerns or your dog is on any prescriptions be sure to get your vet’s approval.

From puppies to full-grown adults we watch and enjoy the things our furry friends do on a daily basis, we learn their traits and they learn ours and not to discredit all other pets but the saying ‘MAN BEST FRIEND’ truly goes to our dogs, they seem to know how we feel, and have a unique way of easing our pain or enlightening our joy.

Like all living creatures including our self, our pets run the gambit of health issues, pain, stress, age, fatigue, internal and external, mental and physical. They have to deal with climate, location, hormones the same way we do, it’s not always easy.

One of the main concerns for dogs especially small ones is anxiety, they seem to be wired a little different, strains like terriers and healers have a built-in response that is hard to curb, large dogs that have been trained to protect, whether it’s their owner or the farm have a hard time relaxing,

Our pets are affected by several things we might not even consider, crowds, other dogs, loud noise(fireworks) sirens, being left alone indoor or out, and so on, It might not be a stressful situation but it makes it hard to settle down.

This a good starting place for the use of CBD, not all pets need daily CBD but when you see an upcoming event like (the 4 of July), a small dose of CBD tincture or a CBD dog treat can definitely take the edge off.

Arthritis Pain, as dogs get older arthritis slowly sneaks in, for some strains it’s a well know fact, German shepherds and large labs have problems with their hips as they get older. As joint tissue breaks down swelling starts to occur this leads to stiff joints and swollen muscles as they try to compensate, it turns into less movement and less blood flow in that area.

Helps Seizure, although not as common, but way more common than you would think 5% of dogs experience seizures, lets face it, its scary for us and more so for pups, if your dog has a treatable version you’re vet can prescribe phenobarbital and potassium bromide, it has shown to work on occasion with seizures, but reeks havoc on the liver and digestive tract.

Not all form of seizures are treatable, but CBD has been shown to work well in drug-resistant epilepsy., studies have shown that a majority of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy saw a high level of improvement within 4 months of daily CBD in their diets.

Fights cancer, studies show that CBD can stop the growth of cancer cells, and aid in the tumor cell death, by slowing the growth rate. It can help increase the efficacy of cancer treatments and helps the medicines stay in our system longer.

General pain, The research of CBD and pain are advancing at an unbelievable pace to the point that modern medicine is considering it a new class of pain relief medicine. CBD has an anti-inflammation property which aids in the reduction of swelling and has shown great benefits of nerve-related pain.

CBD Increases Appetite, this is a great help to older dogs or new pups that just can’t get used to solid foods. Adding a drop of CBD oil to their food or a dog treat before a meal helps them stay interested and clean their bowl.

HEART HEALTH, For active and older dogs who might be slowing down CBD, can lower blood pressure and reduce heart rate, it helps to protect blood vessels from damage and aids in dilating the arteries

Sleep, CBD has been a great source of improving sleep patterns especially in dogs with sleep dementia, If you plan to take your dog on a road trip or a flight, start a few days before your travel and use CBD hemp oil or dog treats to acclimate them to the feeling of being relaxed and not so stressed in a highly stressful situation.

Dosage, as you become familiar with CBD you will understand the various products and their strengths, this is easy when you understand that CBD is sold in total milligrams per container, the higher the amount of CBD the higher the cost, the more CBD in the container, its far less difficult to administer a small dose of CBD when the content as a lower amount of CBD.

A good starting point for dogs is 0.25 mg per pound this is a mild dose.

For a strong dose use as much as 0.5 mg per pound.

Like most dog products things break down into, small- medium -large, same with CBD.

Small dogs under 20 LBS, recommended CBD 150 mg.per container.

Medium dogs 20-60 LBS, recommended CBD 300 mg per container.

Large dogs over 60 LBS , recommended CBD 600 mg per container.

Be sure to read the instructions and be clear of the recommended doses. These forms are usually a Tincher,  gel caps or sprays and are mainly used for a daily routine and feeding schedule, most are administered twice a day totaling the daily recommended dose.

Also, for an easy dose for picky eaters, or an “on the go schedule” the use of CBD DOG TREATS has become very popular there convenient, and accurate.
